PROCEDURE
I. INTRODUCTION
1. GREETING. EXPLAINING THE AIM OF THE LESSON
l. Good morning, children. Look around. Some of you are boys, some of
you are girls. Boys, raise your hands. Girls, raise your hands. Are you
ready for the lesson? Let us greet each other. (Pupils say “hello”to
each other.)
Діти, сьогодні ми помандруємо у Лапландію. Ви знаєте, що це країна Сайта
Клауса. Там є дуже велика фабрика, на якій працюють ельфи. А що це за
фабрика? Що там виготовляють? Так, на цій фабриці ельфи виготовляють
іграшки, якими ви так любите гратися. Я попросила вас принести на урок
своїулюблені іграшки. Саме про них ми будемо сьогодні говорити.
2. PHONETIC DRILL
Т: Let’s do exercises for our tongue. Ihor, come up to the blackboard
and write down the transcription of the sounds you will hear. Listen to

погода! Поспішає до школи. Перший урок—англійська мова. Його улюблені
звуки [z — s].

1. BRAIN-TEASING FUN
Т: Діти давайте назвемо голосні букви англійського алфавіту і знайдемо
їх в абетці. Так, в англійському алфавіті є 6 голосних — Аа, Ее, Іі, Оо,
Uu, Yy. Всього 6 букв, але без них неможливо говорити. Вчора я отримала
загадкового листа, в ньому немає голосних букв. Допоможіть мені його
розшифрувати.

2. VOCABULARY PRESENTATION
1. T: Do you like to play? Of, course, you do. Давайте пригадаємо назви
іграшок, які ми з вами вже вивчили.
Ps: A doll, a tennis set, a ball, a cat, a dog.
2. Т: Our pen friend Nelly has a birthday. Nelly’s friends have presents
for her. Але, щоб Неллі не здогадалася, діти зашифрували всі назви —
замінили в них букви цифрами. Внизу є ключ. Girls are in the first
group, boys are in the second group. Who will be the winner?
3. T: Do you like crosswords? The pictures of the toys will help you to

7. NUMBERS
Промовимо нашу лічилку.

numbers. (Teacher shows a number, a pupil names it and writes it down on
the board.)

8. ROLE-PLAY “IN THE TOY SHOP”
T: Let’s go to the shop. Віра, ти будеш продавцем, а ми — покупцями.
Sample dialogue:
– Good morning. -Hello! Can I help you? -1 want to buy a train.
– Yes, we have a nice red train. Have a look, please!
– Oh, it is nice. Please, give it to me.

III. SUMMING-UP
T: Які слова ми вчили на уроці? Що робили з ними? Що робили з іграшками?
Які букви вчили? Давайте ще раз повторимо голосні букви і назви іграшок.
IV. HOME ASSIGNMENT
Т. Open your daybooks and write down your hometask: вивчити назви
іграшок. У зошиті написати про свої улюблені іграшки і в тексті
підкреслити голосні букви.

1. THE GAME “CATCH THE BALL”
Teacher throws the ball to one of the pupils as s/he calls out a family
member. The child catching the ball should respond using the structure
“I have got…” or “I haven’t got…”

2. SPEAKING
P3: Hello, everyone. Meet my family. This is my dad (mum, brother,

3. MISSING NUMBERS
Children stand in a circle holding numbers. Teacher asks them to close
their eyes and then takes one of the numbers. The children guess what
number is missing.
VII. WRITING
1. MISSING LETTERS
Teacher writes words on the blackboard omitting a letter from each of
them.
T: Fill in the missing letters.

2. SPELLING WORDS
Teacher hands out the letters of the alphabet to pupils and asks
children to make up words.

взяти предмет, який назве його товариш: “Take a book. “Перед грою
лічилкою вибирають ведучого.)

Teacher: And you have a flat or a house… Стривайте, мені здається, що
хтось плаче. (Вибігає мишка.)

Teacher: Діти, збудуймо для мишки будинок. А скажіть, що повинно бути в
кожному будинку?
(Діти називають і показують на картині частини будинку: a door, a
window, a roof, a balcony and so on. Далі проводиться гра “Чого не
вистачає?” Учням пропонується зображення будинків у яких нема даху,
вікна чи дверей. Діти називають чого не вистачає.)
Teacher: А як вам цей будинок? (Заносить макет будинку. Співають пісню.)
