Dissertation for the scientific degree of candidate of medical sciences
on the Dentistry (14.01.22) Ukrainian medical Stomatological academy,
the MPH, Poltava, 1998.

The possibilities of preparations type chlorhexidin,furagin and complex
of furagin and A-bacterin in prophylaxis of children’s caries have becn
studied.

The paper deals with the analys of results of 5 year period of examinihg
1205 children at the age of 5-10 years old.

It is stated that all the examining antibacterial preparations supress
growth of Streptococcus; and as for complex of furagin and A-bacterin,
it has higher results of bacteria’s suppression.

The preparations which are examined in clinic give the opportunity to
reduce disease of caries and we must take into consideration that
complex of furagin and A-bacterin have reduced growth caries doubly
(twice) in comparison with using chlorgexidin.
