The Thesis is devoted to the questions of the usage of hypertext
programmes in the process of studing the humanities.

In the Thesis the regularities oh functioning, the contents and role of
educational hypertexts in the traditional process of teaching’ the
history of music at the music-pedagogical faculties have been
re-searched. It has been determined that the complex usage of hypertexts
improves essentially the quality of the traditional educational process
of studing any humanities within any specialist training.

The didactic model which combines hypertext and traditional forms and
methods of studying has been offered. It is efficiency has been proved
theoretically proved and practically confirmed.

Key words: hypertext, educational process, the humanities, pedagogical
dominating idea.
