Honcharova I.M. The problem of Mythological Symbolism in the context of

philosophical antropology and philosophy of culture. T.G.Shevchenko
National University, Kyiv, 1998.

The thesis represents philosophical investigation of the problem of
mythological symbolism in culture forming process. Two main types of
mythological symbolism — pre-reflexive and reflexive, have been singled
out. Sence-forming and structure forming functions of mythological
symbolism have been analysed with taking into account of specific
features of its various types.

The author afferms that such shortcomings of mythological symbolism
(from the poin of view of positivism) as multiformity and discrepancy
may become an advantage in the process of sence-forming. Having endured
multiple interpretations in sociocultural aspect mythological symbolism
exceeds in the act of transcedentation the bounds of existing
sociocultural system. Without it culture forming is not possible.
