The factors, that stipulate the activisation of the development of
education and pedagogical idea in the west Ukraine in the XVI – XVII th
centuries are investigated and analised in the dissertation compositely.

The investigation ascerdains that had been fraternities and theis
schools came out as the centres for national selforganisation and
ukrainian national scool.

It is ascertained that education and pedagogical idea in the west
Ukraine in the XVI – XVII th centuries were based on the traditions of
the folk education and tringing up, using everything progressive, that
the mankind had alone in this sphere in the countries of Orient and
West.
