Mashchenko A.? — Holy Scripture in the World of Ideas of
F.M.Dostoevsky’s Prose.- Manuscript.

Thesis for a degree of candidate of philology by speciality 10.01.02 —
Russian literature.- Dnepropetrovsk State University, Dnepropetrovsk,
1998.

The dissertation researches influence of Holy Scripture on the world of
ideas of Dostoevsky’s prose; establishes and systematizes diverse
connections between the Byble and the problematics of the writer`s
works. The work gives a new view of the reasons of the artist’s
reference to the Byble texts, accents attention on the several plans of
his perception the Holy Scripture. The author argues that all or almost
all ideas of Dostoevsky, from ethical up to historiosophical, are
borrowed from the sacred texts. A lot of allusions and reminiscences
ascending to the Bible is revealed. Previously, researchers did not pay
attention to it. The dissertation offers the original decisions of some
disputable problems, discussed by specialists in Dostoevsky’s work. The
basic results of research have found practical application in lecture
rates, special courses and practical lessons on the Russian and world
literature and culture of the 19th -20 th cc.
