The thesis is devoted to the questions of production and economic
activities of energy supplying companies under the conditions of
electrical energy market. The necessity of using the marketing concept
on the basis of analysis of environment forces of energy supplying
companies was determined. The research has shown that, owing to the
specifics of power production, irrational use of electrical energy by
consumers, considerable marketing efforts of energy supplying companies
are to be directed to electrical energy demand regulation. Today it is
necessary to use synchromarketing (irregular demand alignment) and
demarketing (reduction of demand), that simultaneously will contribute
to the maintenance of power safety in Ukraine in the sphere of
electrical energy supply.

The realization of the marketing concept is provided by the reforming of
distributive activity of energy supplying companies in the territorial
retail market of electrical energy. It requires study of the separate
elements of their microenvironment, competitors and consumers in the
first place. The main competitors of energy supplying companies are
independent suppliers of electrical energy, small-sized local power
stations. The research has shown that there are a number of negative
factors, which considerably complicate the activities of energy
supplying companies: unevenness of their daily schedules of electrical
loading, absence of payment for the consumed electrical energy, theft of
electrical energy. The influence of power consumption structure on the
financial condition of energy supplying companies and the possibility of
electrical energy demand regulation have been analysed, the specific
conditions of segmentation of territorial retail market of electrical
energy have been considered, the features of mutual relations of energy
supplying companies with the consumers of various segments (their strong
and weak points) have been determined.

The efficiency of energy supplying company adaptation to the electrical
energy marketing conditions depends on its organization and information
security, the design solutions of which are represented in the work. The
organization maintenance consists in creating a special service of
marketing based on extension and reorganization of subdivisions, dealing
with sales of electrical energy, using the combination of functional,
territorial and product-based principle of organization of the
marketing service. The research has shown that the existence of sales
department subdivisions at the level of electrical transmission
networks enterprises is appropriate. The structure of the marketing
service and functions of its subdivisions were developed.

Marketing researches to be carried out taking into account the specifics
of various segments should become the main tool of information basis
shaping of energy supplying companies under market conditions. In the
work the main kinds of marketing researches of the retail market of
electrical energy have been determined, the methodological approach to
their realization has been developed, the peculiarities of primary
information collecting have been determined.

The adaptation of energy supplying companies to the market conditions is
provided by the use of marketing technologies through marketing mix in
consideration of the supply and the demand noordination necessities in
the territorial retail market of electrical energy. The recommendations
concerning a product line of energy supplying companies have been
developed; it will include a number of commercial and noncommercial
services. The methodological approach to the installation of segments of
the electrical energy retail market to concentrate the main efforts of
synchromarketing and demarketing on has been developed. The provision of
the price and distribution policy realization, orientated on segments
(determination of retail tariffs on the electrical energy by three
classes of voltage in consideration of the consumers influences on the
maximum load shaping of energy supplying companies; the cancellation of
any limitations on the electrical energy and its power for the
consumers, but reasonable determination of these magnitudes by the
consumer; the systematic monitoring of the consumed and paid electrical
energy etc.) have been considered.

The application of the marketing concept in the practical activity of
energy supplying companies requires the marketing communications system
adjustment. The features of their communication activities in the retail
market of electrical energy (scheme of the main marketing
communications, the features of planning of separate measures of
communication influence, joint efforts of energy supplying companies and
the state bodies for the realization of demarketing and synchromarketing
measures) have been determined.

The priority directions of adaptation provision of energy supplying
companies to the conditions of electrical energy market developed and
justified in the thesis, developed methodological maintenance of
marketing technologies will help to raise the efficiency of energy
supplying companies in accordance with the requirements of consumers,
improve their image and raise their competitiveness in the territorial
retail market of electrical energy.
