Lviv State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named after S.Z. Hzhytskyi,

The thesis is devoted to the problems of the substation of new aspects
of trace elements feeding of dry barn-feeding cows for increase of their
productivity, quality, ensuring of realization of genetic potention of
antenatal growth and development of calves, working out of new forms of
compaunds of trace elements and studying the mechanism of their action.
New data were obtained about the influence of trace element feeding up
of cows during the barn feeding period (with chelate compounds of
copper, zinc and cobalt with amino acid methionin) on the metabolism in
their organism and on the processes of intrauterus development of a
fetal.

The changes in the dynamics of colostrum content were revealed from the
begining of lactation till the 10-th day of lactation and the positive
influence of trace elements in the form of chelate compounds with
methionin on restoring of secretorial function of mammary geand.

An optimum doze of methionate of copper, zinc and cobalt in the rations
of dry barn-feeding cows was established.
