supernatural in the beliefs of Slavonic peoples of ancient Ukraine. –

philosophical department. Kiyv, 1999.

The dissertation is a philosophical investigation of the pagan
religiousness of Slavonic peoples of ancient Ukraine in aspect of
revealing the images of the supernatural in it.

The phenomenon of the supernatural in essential traits and historical
forms is investigated in the context of analytical possibilities of the
historiosophical point of view and its principles and criterions of
comprehension. The subject of ideas of the supernatural and the subject
field are defermined. The demonistic and theistic levels in the process
of formation and development of the pagan beliefs and ideas are
distinguished. The nature and forms of the demonistic images of the
supernatural, the personified matter and the functional of its theistic
images are analysed.
