The thesis is devoted to the development of a method of structural and
property modification of a glass to the electromagnetic radiation of
radio frequency region. The exposure of the glass by the electromagnetic
radiation with 22 kHz frequency leads to the worsening of its
homogeneity, i.e. areas enriched and depleted by impurities appear.
Under the influence of the electromagnetic radiation with ultra-high
frequencies (14 GHz).The structural chomges occur. The chomges of the
bonds of phosphor-oxygen tetrahedrons lead to the increase of
intertetrahedron angles P-O-P from 1090 to 1300. The experimental and
theoretical investigations elucidated the correlation between the glass
structure and the parameters of its free volume. The optimum
technological regimes for the glass modification are established. The
method of the modification of the glass structure and properties under
the influence of electromagnetic radiation and technological regime for
the decrease of the mechanical stresses in glasses and in metal-glass
junctions of the electron-beam devices are proposed.
