SUMMARY

Pavkh S.P. National education of gymnasium pupils at the lessons of
labour training.

Thesis manuscript is presented for the degree of Candidate of
Pedagogical Sciences by speciality 13.00.02. — The theory and methodics
of teaching of drawing. National Pedagogical University by
M.P.Dragomanov, Kyiv, 1999.

The thesis contains the national education of pupils of Ukrainian
gymnasium at the lessons of labour training. The author studies the
specific character of national upbringing, which proceeds from
possibilities of the lessons at the general education establishment of
new type — Ukrainian gymnasium. It has been offered the subject and the
methods of the labour training, where such traditional kinds of arts
and crafts as crocheting, knitting, embroidering, plaiting were learned.

The criteria and indices of national upbringing at the lessons of labour
training with the help of arts and crafts have been defined.

Key words: general education establishment of new type, labour training,
spiritual, national self-awareness, national culture, arts and crafts.
