of Physical Fitness for Young Palestinian Senior Formers.

The Thesis for a Competition of Candidate of Science Academic Degree in
Physical Education and Sports in speciality 24.00.02 — Physical
cultural, Physical education for different population groups, National
University of Physical education and sport of Ukraine, Kyiv 1999.

This thesis deals with the problem of objective informational system
substantiation and development to evaluate physical fitness in
Palestinian senior schoolboys aged 15-19 and use it in progress
evaluation in physical education for school providing general education.

Developed system of physical fitness evaluation is scientifically
substantiated by selected test battery having significant correlative
interrelation of weak and moderate degrees with the values of major
functional characteristics in the body of contingent observed in all age
groups. That allows to observe recreative efficiency dynamics in the
process of school physical education.

New facts on adaptation and aerobic abilities in the body of untrained
Palestinian boys, pupils of X-XII forms in schools providing general
education, have been obtained.

The result of specific test corresponding to its evaluation rating by
higher order has been proposed to use as individual standards.

Conducted study has provided elaboration of rating scales to evaluate
the level of motor quality development, to evaluate integrally physical
fitness design formula to evaluate progress in practical activity during
physical education sessions; practical recommendations to use elaborated
methods of evaluation in practice of physical education for male
Palestinian schools providing general education.
