The dissertation is devoted to the philosophical research of mentality
as integrative characteristic of culture. The main ways of philosophical
research of mental problems are investigated, main traditions of its
research in adjacent disciplines are traced which determined its
occurrence in philosophy. Role and significance of mentality statements
in the myth and religion structure is determined. Two forms of mental
statements in science to distinguish is suggested: outerand inner.
Traditional typology of mentality is considered. Historical cultural
dependence of the processes of decision making in different religious
systems depending on their national types of mentality is investigated.
