In presented thesis first in the science of our country it was
undertaken the attempt to do complex research of the most urgent
problems in the field of state and law in the studies of one of the
most outstanding thinkers of XIX th century Mikhaylovsky N.K. In
particular it was observed the points of origin, essence and functions
of state and law, relations between state and freedoms of person, their
guarantees, some statements of criminal and law science, the concepts of
crime and punishment. Materials of this study were given in close
relation with modernity.
