The dissertation is devoted to the problems of ideological and artistic
Podillya folk prose, its genre classification in historical and regional
aspects. Particular attention is given to contemporary folk prose
development in a region as well as its genre dynamics in the
contemporary culture system.

The materials of the dissertation can be used in standard folklore
courses, in literature, and in the compiling of regional folklore
collections.
