Isaeva E. V. The participation of voltage-activated Ca2+ channels in
inhibitory synaptic transmission at the culture of rat hippocampal
neurons. – Manuscript.

The dissertation is devoted to investigation of electrophysical and
pharmacological properties evoked inhibitory postsynaptic currents of
developing rat hippocampal neurons in vitro and the participation of
different voltage-activated Ca2+ channels in inhibitory synaptic
transmission. The obtained results indicated that enlargement of
cultivating term caused an increase of the average amplitude of evoked
inhibitory postsynaptic currents and their amplitudes variations,
whereas deviation of the average current amplitudes didn`t change. It
was shown, that inhibitory transmission in hippocampal neurons in vitro
was mediated mainly by HVA Ca2+ currents. On the base of diffrent
sensitivity to specific Ca2+ channel blockers it was indicated that
L-type Na2+ current (blocked by 10I nifedipine) not involved in
sinaptic transmission, whereas -CTx-GVIA (N-type) and -Aga-IVA
(P-Q-type) -sensitive components, sensitive to high concentrations
nifedipine component and insensitive to this organic blockers component
of Ca2+ current participated in triggering inhibitory neurotransmitter
release in hippocampal neurons.
