Dodonov R.A. Social-philosophical analysis of processes of forming and
functioning of etnomentality. – Manuscript.

The dissertation for Doctor’s degree on specialty 09.00.03 – Social
philosophy and philosophy of history. Institute of Philisophy of UNAS,
Kiev, 1999.

In the dissertation the notion “mentality”, its significance and place
in the system of philosophical categories is interpreted, coming into
being of this notion with excretion of main stages of this process is
analyzed, methodological specific character of exploration of mental
phenomenon by philosophy and concrete sciences is revealed, existed
definitions of category “mentality” are classified, gender-aspectual
differences of mental phenomenon are determined, structural levels of
ethnic mentality are assigned. The place of ethnomentality among the
phenomenons of spiritual life of society is defined.

The attempt is made to excrete the main features of Ukrainian
ethnomentality, limits of effective using of normative and empirical
methods of exploration of ethnic mentality are analyzed, pracsiological
function of ethnomentality and meaning for social reforms in general and
in Ukraine in particular is re-interpreted.
