Platonova A.A. The state of the anti-oxidation system in pea sprouts
(Pisum sativum L.) under the influence of cadmium, thallium and lead
ions. The manuscript. The dissertation submitted for Candidate of

The thesis is to be defended. Its essentials are exposed in 10
scientific publications. The thesis under discussion is devoted to the
investigation of the influence of different cadmium, thallium and lead
ion concentrations (10-7-10-4 M) on the state of the anti-oxidation
system and on the content of malonyl aldehyde in pea sprouts at the
initial stages of their development.

The increase of peroxygen oxidation lipid processes in pea sprouts
under the 8-day influence of cadmium, thallium and lead ions was
investigated. These results are testified by the increase of malonyl
aldehyde in pea sprouts as well as the lowering of antioxidation
ferments (superoxide dismutase and catalase) activity. The increase of
reduced glutathione content in pea sprouts under the influence of
cadmium, thallium and lead ions was found, as well as the dependence of
this marker upon both the concentration of metal-ions in the nutritions
media and the duration of their impact. The correlative dependence
between GSH and glutathione reductase in pea sprouts under the influence
of the given heavy metal ions was not found.
