The dissertation is dedicated to the questions of functional and
structural-grammatical peculiarities of incomplete and elleptic
constructions under conditions of communicative activity (dialogical and
monological speech). The research of the incomplete structures is
conducted from the point of communicative semantical and
formal-grammatical aspects based on the material of the colloqual
speech texts, folklre, and Ukrainian literature, in the sphere of which
the specific features of the analysed constructions is manifested. In
the thesis the functional aspects of the incompleted sentences as a
specific semantico-grammatical category, which takes part in statement
formation dialogical replies and text-formation correspondingly to the
performing of the pragmatical orientation of the speech by the
communicants are dislinguished. So, the grammatical nature of onciting
of the parts of the sentence and ellipsys as phenomena of dynamic syntax
of modern oral speech and writing is clesred up.
