The dissertation is dedicated to a complex analysis of the creativity of
Leonid Mosendz (1897-1948), a poet of the circle of the men of letters,
united round the magazine “Vistnyk”, prose writer and publicist. There
have been studied in this thesis the ideological, stylistic and
literary-arttistic coordinates of the writer’s skilful style as well as
his place hes been defined in the literary group of “the vistnykiwtsi”,
who in the interwar period (1920 – 30-is) united around the L’viv
“Vistnyk” magazine. Also there in the dissertation hes been considered
the impact of the Holy Scripture on Leonid Mosendz’s prose and poetry
alongside with the influence he underwent of the European culture,
philosophy, art and letters. From the analysis, carried out here, it’s
allowable to conclude about the writer’s remarkable literary talent and
the need to further study his creativity.
