The dissertation is devoted to studying language variability in natural
speech. The analysis of the phonostilistic variety of German senior
schoolchildren’s pronunciation was made, namely the character of
interrelations of speech variants (variants of realization of segmental
structure of the German language) and elements of social structure
(social group of German senior schoolchildren).

The variety in speech of senior schoolchildren has been registered both
at the level of vowels and at the level of consonants. Average indexes
of realization of every phonological variable and its variants in three
situations of communication ( informal communication, half-standard
interview, formal communication ) were determined.
