Ph. D. Thesis on the speciality 01.02.05 – the mechanics of fluid, gas
and plasma. The Kharkov Aviation Institute. Kharkov. 1999.

This thesis deal with a problem of development of systems for gas
supplying electrophysical installations which use the heat-utilizing
metal hydryde multifunctional elements. The results of the experimental
and design-theoretical studies on the thermalphysic characteristics of
metal hydride systems for gas supplying vacuum – plasma technological
and energy transforming installations are defended.

For the first time isotopic effect in vibrating excitation of molecules
of hydrogen, thermodesorbed from the surface of getter hydride forming
polymetal compositions experimentally is investigated.

The effect of autostabilization on pressure mode of gas discharge with
the metal hydride cathode was obtained and experimentally investigated.
The high efficiency of ionic bombardment as active control facility
operational mode of a metal-hydride element, which use as cathode and as
plasma-forming gas source was established.

The effect intensification of plasma-chemical reactions in the gas
discharge with the metal hydride cathode was obtained. The results of
experimental researches of plasma sources of negative ions of hydrogen
have been considered. The increase on one order of magnitude of gas
efficiency of these devices was established in case of use of metal
hydride cathodes.
