RESUME

Hinevych R.V. The improvement of clothes designing on the basis of the
geometric parametres of a person`s body.- Manuscript.

PhD thesis towards the scientific degree of the candidate of Engineering
sciences in speciality 05.19.04 “Technology of sewing articles”. State
Academy of Light Industry of Ukraine. Kyiv.1999.

The thesis is devoted to the guestions of determinating the influence
of the geometrical parameters of the person`s body surface on the
constructive clothes structure. A new method of antropometric
information formation has been investigated, it reflects the body
surface geometry characteristics concerning the problem of clothes
designing for the different types of figures. The Informational model of
man`s torso surface on the basis of the body size features. The
principles of the body surface formation with its surface reflection
were determined. It was established that body surface flattenings with
different geometry form have different constructive structure, which is
determined by the direction and size of the formative cuttings.
Graphical correlations of the geometrical parametres of the man`s torso
surface and formative cuttings of its flattening are determined.
Principal schemes of the constructive structure of the man`s garments
for the figures with the different geometry of the body surface, it
improves the guality increase of the sewing articles fitting on
different types of figures. The data on the efficiency of the use of the
investigation results are provided.
