The thesis is devoted to the research of the prose fiction by the famous
Russian writer, journalist and critic of the 1st half of the 19th
century O.I.Senkovsky. The research deals with the fabulous prose by the
writer as well as his moralistic topical satire, stories and a novel.
The peculiarities which single out Senkovsky’s prose from the bulk of
the Russian fiction of the 1st half of the 19th century are analyzed. An
attempt is made to give a classification of his prosaic texts;
peculiarities of the arrangement of images, their moral and subject
content, peculiar architectonics are elucidated.
